Once upon a time someone (I don’t remember who) sent me a link to a Kate Spade sample sale. I’m pretty sure this was back in the days of the infamous black nylon bag. That link lead to my first Kate Spade handbag purchase. Unfortunately for my (Kate Spade) wallet, the sample sale was just a gateway drug when it came to Ms. Spade. I have since moved on to normal sales. And, occasionally, full-priced purchases. These little zebra beauties were one such purchase (in the interest of full disclosure, TD actually bought these. For me. Not him. Seriously come on…we don’t even wear the same size). At about two inches, the heel is a perfect height for trousers or shorter shirts with tights. I also love the mid-century toe paired with the chunkier heel. I think they kind of send the message that,’ yes, I’m ladylike but could run a 440 if needed.’ Nice.

I love Kate Spade shoes even more than the handbags. I’m still mourning a pair of tweed flats, discarded because they pinched my feet. Oh, exquisite pain.
A pair of lovely but unwearable shoes is sad indeed…made even sadder by my own (probably faulty) logic that nice shoes shouldn’t hurt.
This, of course, makes me laugh.
Brian got me a Kate Spade baby bag before Diana was born. I now own 5-6 diaper bags, and the Kate Spade (okay, the 2 KS’s) are by far my favorite. They are the only bags that never look worn, have a large, super soft, wipeable changing pad, and that you can always find things in. I’ve had her shoes and wallets, too, all of which I love, but the baby bags are just in a league of their own.
Sherry- I’ve actually used two of her baby bags as regular work bags and have loved them. No one has ever called me out on carrying around a diaper bag sans baby so I’ll probably offend again :).
